The battery storage project in Diesdorf, in the district of Magdeburg, has an output of 58 MW and a gross storage capacity of 116 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power), as well as to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and avoided network charges (§ 18 StromNEV) and is connected to the Netze Magdeburg GmbH network. Construction of the plant is planned for 2026.
