Munich, 19.11.2024 - As new co-managing director, Thomas Maubert strengthens the management team of Kyon Energy, the leading project development company and EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) for large battery storage systems in Germany. With this appointment, the company is taking another important step towards optimising its strategic orientation and operational processes. In future, Kyon Energy will also operate as an operator of large battery storage systems and will thus position itself as a flexibility provider in the German energy market.
In his new position, Thomas Maubert will be responsible for Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Due to the constantly increasing demand for energy storage systems, efficient operational management is of central importance in order to maximize the lifetime of plants and ensure their smooth operation. Born in France, Maubert is a graduate engineer and has filled various technical, operational and economic positions at TotalEnergies, the multi-energy company that took over Kyon Energy in January 2024.
“With Thomas Maubert, we have gained an experienced manager who will further advance our company, particularly in the area of O&M, and help ensure the longevity and economic efficiency of our storage solutions for the energy revolution,” explains Florian Antwerpen, Co-Managing Director of Kyon Energy.
Kyon Energy is a pioneer in the development, implementation and operation of large-scale battery storage projects that play a central role in the storage of renewable energy and grid stability. By strengthening its management team, the company plans to further expand its market position and meet the requirements of the growing energy market even more efficiently.
“I am really looking forward to helping shape the future of battery storage technologies and working with the team to drive innovative and sustainable solutions forward,” says Thomas Maubert.
